An impromptu quiet week

I’ve been hammered with an OG cold of sorts this week (not COVID, thankfully) and it’s completely sapped me of any energy. I’ve mostly done…well…nothing.

I’m lucky that I run my own business. Because we’re mostly working with American clients at the moment and it’s Thanksgiving week, it’s been the perfect week to get ill (if there ever was a perfect week).

The problem is, though, I think this illness has hit me so hard because I’m legit running on fumes. It’s been a chaotic [checks notes] few months and I appear to have not learned much from last year, which I publicly bollocked myself for.

I’m letting myself off for over-working this year because the agency stuff took off way quicker than I planned, so I had quite a bit of crossover between agency projects and freelance/consultancy projects. That period is definitely over now, but the longer impact of that has been ridiculous.

There’s no real point to this post other than for me to look back on and next year I’ll be better at this whole overworking thing. I’m pretty sure it’ll be my only resolution (which to be fair I’ve done a good job of this year). Let’s see…
