  • i wish these people would try as hard as they do, trying to convince the industry that AI is good, with their generated images

if you could make these blocks work, you've already transcended the need to be a slopper https://ashtom.github.io/developers-reinvented.

  • Update on the great Notion escape.

Obsidian is more than doing the job for my stuff, as always.

So far Github has near-enough fully replaced Notion in terms of project management. What I'm missing now though is a visual roadmap.

I need tool for writing collaboration too (markdown a must)

  • I teach a concept I call sketching up in my CSS course. It's all about high speed, low fidelity planning work to both find problems with a design, but to also map out your build.

It's not just useful for that though. It's also useful for planning way in advance -> going on holiday -> cracking on

A Figjam document that has a clip of the old advertising page on Piccalilli. It's absolutely littered with notes and arrows.

  • that next.js stink

A fully white screen with this text, tiny in the middle: "Application error: a client-side exception has occurred while loading www.sanity.io (see the browser console for more information)."

  • There's a latte on a wooden table in a wide, shallow cup. A person is pouring another latte into that original one, causing loads of overspill.

The original latte is captioned "Already bloated, mostly useless SaaS app" and the pouring latte is captions "Check out our new AI feature"

  • Finally getting stuck in to the first record from @lurkmoophy.bsky.social's nothingsoundsgood.club and what a treat, getting a nice zine, stickers and some art.

    Physical media FTW

Soot Sprite's Wield Your Hope Like a Weapon record, the zine as described with nice sad cat as the logo, some stickers and a nice art print, featuring a sad looking ghost. All of this is on my desk with a keyboard, trackpad and a cup of tea

  • 11 years since we got a Banksy in Cheltenham (which was promptly destroyed)

A phone box with street art on the wall behind it, depicting old school spies, listening in

  • my understanding of the discover feed is accounts are grouped into "clusters" and the "show less like this" thing actually works.

means you yeet a lot of tosh by persisting with it

An absolute dogshit AI slop post about Pam Bondi, made to look like a 1930's spam advert (great joke lads, ur very clever). I've got a context menu open with "show less like this" selected
