  • It's 6 years ago to the day that I went back to freelancing

    I'd spent 6 weeks going through hell with hiring processes after being laid off from an agency job. That agency stopped running so I decided to take a couple of the clients under my wing.

    The rest is history and I'm so glad I did it.

  • Here's a test for bsky now a lot of tech folks are here.

    My course drafts are in a notion database. Does anyone know of a tool that can easily convert those to mdx files and pull the images down locally?

    I can do the first part quite easily with the API, but the images are stumping me rn.

  • Sorry to bleat on about the course but launch is soon. One thing I like to do is a rug-pull. For example, this component looks like it's gonna need a fair bit of CSS right?

    It only needs a few lines because the layouts we've already built does most of it. CUBE CSS FTW!

  • Complete CSS is by far the longest course I've done. It's 55 lessons long broken into 7 modules.

    Learn Eleventy From Scratch was 31 and Learn CSS was 25 lessons when I did the first edition

    I've drafted 36 lessons now and on the final writing sprint. It's been a slog 😅
