I wired up my Feedbin likes to auto-post to Mastodon

A cool feature about Feedbin is you can get an RSS feed of posts you like.

Some switches in the features section of Feedbin. At the bottom is a "starred article feed" which shows you your feed RSS and the ability to turn it on and off.

You can see my feed here: https://feedbin.com/starred/91894d3eb1e30664631b3d475c213f5e.xml

What is even cooler is that can be wired up with IFTTT, which in turn, posts to my Mastodon feed.

An IFTTT applet edit screen which shows the trigger as a new feed item and the action as "make a web request"

I won’t write how to post on Mastodon with IFTTT because I have no idea what I’m doing. I followed this article instead.

I used to use Feedbin to read tweets then hook up the starred RSS feed to a horrible Node script that found the tweet, then liked it on my behalf. That was cool too, but Twitter is dead to me now.

Anyway, this is just another cool thing that RSS can do™️!
