Quest For Fire – Skrillex

I’ve always been a fan of Skrillex, even in the nastiest dubstep era. What I also like about Skrillex (A.K.A Sonny Moore) is that he is (or was) the frontman of post-hardcore band, From First To Last. I got to see them at Download ’06 where non-other than Wes Borland played bass for them 🤯

Anyway, this latest album from Skrillex is bloody good. He’s really chilled out his sound and it’s more dance/electronica than filthy dubstep. Don’t get me wrong though, it’s still a fucken massive sound.

I think my favourite track has to be “Hydrate”. It features Flowdan (bloody good rapper), who’s lyrics sit beautifully on a nice sparse track. Lovely stuff.

Also, I’m really bloody excited about the prospect of Skrillex, Four Tet and Fred Again… making music together. They seem to be touring (of sorts) together at the moment, so we can only hope.
