    Some prose that reads: Unfortunately, for visual design and brand design in particular, there really aren’t that many options. No one seems to be doing anything interesting in the space, so much so that GIMP is still the most-recommended tool when it comes to traditional visual design (ala Photoshop). I love GIMP, but come on, it’s pure, unadulterated ‘I see your stepdad’s been on the Linux forums again’ vibes. There's then a suggested insert that reads: <SideNote>Editor's note: I'll allow it.</SideNote>

  • One good thing about the new base project for my new site is the music collection actually works. Even OG images sorta work.

    So much to build on and I can't wait to think of cool ways to design it.

  • I've just deployed the "wireframe" first iteration of the personal site redesign.

    I wanted to get rid of the old codebase so I've got something better to design on. It feels good to have a codebase I can actually maintain.

    I'm writing about it all too! Getting started on that part today…
